RESOLUTION 24-01
A Resolution Revising the Garbage Utility Service Rate Schedule
WHEREAS, removal of recycling services, with the exception of yard waste was agreed upon by council on December 6th, 2023; and
WHEREAS, the mandatory recycling fee will be removed from garbage service billing rates.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHEWELAH, WASHINGTON HEREBY RESOLVES:
Section 1: The attached Schedules are adopted for the following rates for utility billing purposes:
Schedule G-1 (attached below)..................................... Garbage Service Billing Rates
Section 2: All previous resolutions regarding monthly utility billing rates for garbage services are hereby repealed.
Section 3: This resolution is effective with the billing for February 2024 utility services.

The City will NOT pick up the following in toters or dumpsters:
The customer must contact the City to arrange for pickup of appliances, furniture, and tires. Fees will be determined according to estimated cubic yardage.
Styrofoam pellets (peanuts) and shredded paper products must be bagged in sealed containers prior to disposal in toters or dumpsters.
