The City of Chewelah is now offering payment options for our customers through PayGOV.US.  PayGOV.US is a third party automated payment service for state and local governments that accepts Visa, Mastercard, and Discover and debit card transactions.

You can pay your bill online anytime, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

What do I need to make a payment?

  • The City of Chewelah utility account number(s) AND the amounts to be applied (if paying for multiple accounts)

 —OR—  the name of the utility customer AND the service address of the utility customer AND the amounts to be applied (if paying for multiple accounts)

  • A valid cardholder phone number
  • A Valid cardholder address
  • Payment amount (Utility balances are not available online. Refer to utility bill(s) or contact City Hall).
  • Valid e-mail address for confirmation receipt (optional – online payment only)


How can I make a payment?

  • Call City Hall at 509-935-8311 during regular business hours. A convenience Fee of 3% ($1 minimum) will be assessed to each credit/debit card transaction.

    • Allows users to access payment choice quickly with a pay location code (37027)
    • Can be used for one time or recurring payments
    • Can register to save payment details and set calendar alerts to remind of future due dates
