TAKE ADVANTAGE OF RESIDENTIAL INCENTIVE PROGRAMS AIMED AT ENERGY EFFICIENCY

Ductless Heat Pump Program:

Participation in the Ductless Heat Pump program may reduce electric heating costs for residential customers by 25-50%. The added bonus of air conditioning included with the installation of a heat pump will also result in increased comfort and home value.

Homes (either site built or manufactured) with electric baseboard, wall heaters, electric forced air furnaces or ceiling cable are currently eligible for an incentive of $1,300 for installation of a Ductless Heat Pump before April 1, 2022. Beginning April 1, 2022, the incentive decreases to $800.

Ductless Heat Pump Program application is available below.

The goal of this program is to help customers reduce their heating costs and improve comfort levels in their homes. The Advanced SMART Thermostat can save from 12-16% on your heating costs over standard thermostats.

Site built homes, manufactured homes and multifamily buildings with electric forced-air furnaces, air source heat pumps and ground source heat pumps as their primary heating source are eligible for the following incentives:

  • $150 if purchased from a retail store and installed by the end user; or
  • $175 if installed by a contractor.

(Note: Incentive drops to $100 and $125 beginning April 1, 2022.)

Qualifying thermostats must be listed on BPA's "Smart Thermostat" qualified list. A list of qualified thermostats is available by opening the "Qualified Thermostats" document below.
